And it is Zone of the Enders, which I've just completed, which marks one of the few games I've actually played to completion, totally worth it, the ending was out of this world. Thank you Shiyo Murata, game director of ZOE, I knight thee awesome.
Now we abridge for "Are these characters even in the same conversation? ZOE edition." Because there are times...

"YOU KILLED MY COMRADES!!!"
"I like you, come back."

"I'm serious, I can't fly this thing!"
"You play with funny things :b~"

"The warship is destroyed."
"The warship has anti-aircraft lasers."

Okay so that last one was the same person... computer... battle AI thing.
